Paying particular attention to the latest drifts and challenges in international affairs, the maiden Abu Dhabi Diplomacy Conference is set to unfold on 14th November with over 300 delegates are supposed to attend the event. Among the list of 300 delegates, academics and diplomats are also included.
The event is going to be held under the aegis of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The two-day event is being arranged by the Emirates Diplomatic Academy (EDA) as the conference plans to come up with new solutions which can be used in the sphere of international diplomacy.
The speakers who have received the invitation includes Dr Anwar Mohammad Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs; Zaki Nussaibah, Minister of State; Reem Ebrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation; Lana Nussaibah, Permanent Representative of the UAE; and Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence.
Bernardino Leon, director general at EDA stated that the Abu Dhabi Diplomacy Conference will provide a stage for top-figures, practitioners, and thought leaders from different fields to deliberate on topics of latest development, trends, and hurdles; as well as come with solutions for diplomatic practices. He even added that the UAE is hopeful about the power of this kind of conferences and others which is going to follows.
Leon added that subjects of discussion would range from technology, gender, culture, etc. for topics related to gender, analysis on the fact that woman still lags behind men in the field of diplomacy would be focused.
He stated that this kind of conferences in the UAE can help to bolster partnerships between local and international diplomats; moreover, it would help to put UAE as a key force for new ideas in field of diplomacy.
