Indian PM invites BRICS to intensify trade and investment partnership

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi believes that the BRICS member countries should intensify trade and investment partnership between the five countries. The head of the Indian government said this on Wednesday, speaking at the closing ceremony of the BRICS Business Forum.

“The goals that BRICS sets for itself in the field of trade and investment should be more ambitious,” Modi said.

He called on the five member countries to put forward proposals for the development of economic ties and the creation of joint ventures.

Modi also indicated that India intends to reach $ 5 trillion in economic activity by 2024 thanks to economic measures undertaken by the government.

“Due to political stability, predictable policies, and reforms aimed at supporting business, India has become one of the most open and favorable economies for business and investment in the world,” the head of the Indian government added.
