The Indian Prime Minister is scheduled to visit Nepal on May 11th and 12th. Modi might be visiting Janakpur and Muktinath apart from Kathmandu on his visit to Nepal. The Prime Minister of Nepal, K.P. Sharma Oli had visited India in the last month. The aim of his visit was to indulge both the nations and enhance the relationship between the two countries on the basis of mutual respect, trust and equality.
Oli had invited the Indian Prime Minister to Nepal during his visit. The visit of Oli was to strengthen the ties of Nepal with India. He had openly criticized India of meddling with the internal affairs of Nepal and he had also claimed that India was the reason behind the toppling of the Nepal government.
After speaking with Oli, Narendra Modi had stated that India would be supporting Neopal and they would work to enhance the relationship between the two nations. Ram Bahadur Thapa, Home Minister of Nepal stated that Modi would be visiting the Janaki Temple from Patna on 11th May, 2018.
