The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson, believes the country’s upcoming exit from the EU is the beginning of a new stage in the life of all Britons, which should be marked by unification and renewal.  This is stated in the appeal of Johnson, extracts from which were distributed by the press service of the head of government.

The Prime Minister is due to speak at around 10:00 p.m. London time – an hour before the moment when the UK officially leaves the EU, of which she spent 47 years and one month.

“The most important thing to say today is that this is not the end, but the beginning. This is the moment when the dawn breaks in and the curtain rises to start a new act. This is the moment for a real national renewal and change,” the statement says.  Johnson’s speech.

According to the prime minister, it is necessary to eliminate distortions in the development of various regions of the country.  “This is the dawn of a new era in which we will no longer agree that the opportunities in the lives of you and your families depend on which part of the country you live in. This is the moment when we begin to unite and go to a new level,”  Johnson’s message says.  “Our role as a government, my job, is to unite our country and lead us forward,” the text says.

Immediately after the UK withdraws from the European Union, a transitional period, calculated until December 31, 2020, will come into force.  It has been specifically agreed to avoid the shocks that Brexit can cause.  For 11 months, the kingdom and the 27 remaining countries in the EU will continue to exist as if there was no “divorce”.  During this time, the parties intend to agree on all conditions for future coexistence and interaction, primarily to try to conclude a free trade agreement.
