Maduro refused to go to the session of the UN General Assembly

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro announced that this year, at a session of the UN General Assembly in New York, the country will be represented by Vice President Delsey Rodriguez and Foreign Minister Jorge Arreasa.

The President said that Rodriguez will transmit to the UN Secretary General a message signed by 12 million Venezuelans demanding to end the sanctions imposed by the United States against Venezuela.

“The vast majority of Venezuelan people say: there is no blockade, no sanctions,” he said.

Maduro, speaking in front of the youth wing of the ruling party, emphasized: “This year I will stay with you and will work in Venezuela on its security and tranquility.”
