Under pressure Algeria’s president reverses decisions of contesting fifth term

The president of Algeria, Abdelaziz Bouteflika has changed his mind as he said that he would not be contesting for the next elections. However, he did so only under the pressure from several protestors who had gathered in several major cities of Algeria. Had the president contested for the next term then it would have been his fifth term and he also already 82 years old and has been ruling Algeria for 20 years. The protestors in Algeria are hungry for change and they protested for weeks for the ailing president to step down from his role.
