Qatar’s International Court Stunt Dismissed by the UAE

Qatar’s attempt of filing a case against the UAE at the International Court of Justice has been dismissed by the UAE. Qatar had claimed that the UAE discriminated against Qatar and Qatari citizens. UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr. Anwar Gargash stated that he was not surprised by the announcement which was made by the government of Qatar.

False Accusations Made by Qatar

Qatar has a history of claims and they had falsely accused Bahrain stating that the Hawar Islands belonged to them. Qatar had also refused mediation with Saudi and had filed a complaint at the International Court of Justice which decreed that the islands belonged to Bahrain. It is expected that Qatar would fail because they were lying and they had also lied about Haj and Umrah.

Gargash had mentioned that Qatar claimed that it was taking the UAE to the International Court of Justice on grounds of human rights violations. He mentioned that he was not surprised with the action and the tweets made by Gargash had received a lot of comments because he has around 710000 followers.
