The FBI said there is no evidence of Ukraine interference in the 2016 US elections

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has no information confirming that Ukraine interfered in the US presidential election in 2016.  This was stated on Monday by FBI Director Christopher Ray, who was appointed to this post in August 2017.

The head of the bureau was asked to comment on the version of Kiev’s attempts to intervene in the US election processes in 2016, the evidence of which is sought by the current president’s lawyer Rudolf Giuliani.  “We have no information indicating that Ukraine interfered in the 2016 elections,” Ray replied.  At the same time, he expressed the opinion that for the election campaign in the USA in 2020 “Russia is the most serious threat.”
