The presidents of Russia, Vladimir Putin and the United States, Donald Trump, will hold a meeting during the G20 summit on Friday in Osaka. This was announced on Thursday by the representative of the White House.
According to a spokesman for the US administration, “Trump and Putin will meet at 14:00 local time in Osaka.”
Earlier, presidential aide YuryUshakov told reporters that Putin and Trump will hold a separate meeting on the margins of the G20 summit in Osaka on June 28 in the afternoon. The conversation can last about an hour. Ushakov added that the negotiations will take place on the platform, which is intended for meetings of the leaders, picked up by the American side. According to Putin, the leaders themselves will determine the agenda of the meeting.
In addition, the head of the Washington administration will hold talks on June 27 with Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison and on June 28 with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe (02:30 – hereinafter Moscow time). After that there will be a trilateral meeting between Trump, Abe and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi (03:15), then the American leader will meet separately with Modi (03:35). Trump will also hold talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel (04:15) and Brazilian President ZhaireBolsonar (09:30).
The next day, the head of the White House is scheduled to meet with Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (02:15), Chinese President Xi Jinping (05:30) and Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan (07:00).
At the end of the stay program in Osaka, Trump will travel to Seoul for talks with the President of the Republic of Korea, Moon Jae Ying.
