The White House told the details of telephone conversations between Putin and Trump


US President Donald Trump discussed trade relations between the countries with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

Earlier, the Kremlin’s press service announced that a telephone conversation between Putin and Trump had taken place at the initiative of the American side. The US president offered help with extinguishing fires in Siberia, his Russian counterpart replied that he would take advantage of the offer if necessary, and regarded this step as the key to restoring full-fledged relations between the two countries.

“The President of Russia expressed sincere gratitude for such an attentive attitude, the offer of help and support. Vladimir Putin replied that the Russian side would use it if necessary,” the website of the Russian presidential administration informs.

At the end of the conversation, the interlocutors agreed to continue contacts not only in the telephone format but also through personal meetings.

It is noted that the conversation took place, Vladimir Putin considers a step towards the restoration of full-scale Russian-American relations.

The last time Putin and Trump talked at the end of July this year was during the G20 Summit in Osaka, Japan. The leaders of the two countries evaluated the negotiations as constructive.

According to the President of the Russian Federation, the conversation with the American colleague was businesslike and pragmatic. The head of the White House, in turn, called the discussion “wonderful” and expressed the hope that “trade with Russia will grow.”
