US President Donald Trump signed a decree on countering the growth of anti-Semitism in the country. The ceremony took place in the White House in the presence of representatives of Jewish organizations.
“The presidential decree makes it clear that, according to the Civil Rights Act of 1964, anti-Semitism is discrimination based on race, color, or nationality,” the White House press service said. Trump instructed ministries and departments to develop measures to combat this phenomenon.
This action “confirms the determination of the president and his administration to combat all forms of anti-Semitism,” the press service added.
