The United Arab Emirates (UAE) intend to cooperate with Azerbaijan in the field of renewable energy sources.
The report says that during the meeting of the Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan PervizShahbazov with a delegation from the UAE led by Sheikh Ahmed Dalmook al-Mazroui, the possibility of cooperation with the Azerbaijani state company SOCAR was also discussed.
Shahbazov noted that relations between Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates are at a high level in many areas, and there is a potential for their development in the energy sector.
The minister said that during the meeting of OPEC ministers in Baku, talks were held with the UAE Energy Minister, Suhail Al-Mazrouei.
“As a result of these negotiations, discussions are currently initiated with the company Mubadila, and cooperation with the company Masdar is being conducted in the field of alternative energy,” said Shahbazov.
The minister also informed those present about the complex measures being taken in the field of alternative energy, about the favorable environment created in Azerbaijan for investors.
It should be noted that on March 18, the 13th meeting of the Joint Monitoring Committee of OPEC ministers and countries outside this organization was held in Baku. The day before, on Sunday, the 27th meeting of the Joint Technical Commission was held in Baku.
Participants of the event discussed the current state of the oil market, existing problems and other issues. During the meeting, a presentation was held on the pace of development of the oil market, and the report of the Joint Technical Commission on the production figures for February was heard.
